Worship, Encouragement, Laughter, and Love.

WSUMC holds the belief that a place of worship, regardless of faith or denomination, should be a community where people can feel the presence of God, be assured of God’s care, and know that they are seen, heard, valued, and not alone. This environment should serve as a reminder that individuals are created in God’s image and are loved.

Unfortunately, the traditional structure and length of most worship services often leave individuals with physical and/or mental challenges, such as dementia, autism, and anxiety, feeling isolated and out of place. Recognizing this reality, “The WELL” is a unique 30-minute service specifically designed to be welcoming and affirming for individuals living with dementia, autism, or other challenges, and their care partners. The plan is to hold this service every month on the third Thursday, in Christ Chapel from 11:00-11:30 a.m. The service is open to the entire community, and individuals of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend.

SCHEDULE:
Thursday, April 18 @ 11:00 am
Thursday, May 16 @ 11:00 am
Thursday, June 20 @ 11:00 am
