“…for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” – Isaiah 56:7

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do at Washington Street UMC. When you pray, not only are you engaging in a meaningful relationship with God, you are actively aligning your will with God’s will and getting one step closer to living and loving like Jesus.

In Need of Prayer?

Washington Street United Methodist Church established a prayer chain ministry for those in need and crisis.

Simply email your prayer requests to [email protected] or you may contact the church office at 803-256-2417.

What happens when I submit a prayer request?

Your prayer request is reviewed by one of our pastors and we pray over your concern. We also forward your prayer to our Prayer Volunteers. Our Prayer volunteers are a group of individuals who are members of Washington Street UMC and/or trusted Prayer Partners who have a spiritual gift for intercessory prayer. Your first and last name are included along with your prayer request unless in your email or call you ask us not to share this information. We will reach out to you personally if you indicate a desire for a call in your request and as appropriate. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can simply enter your Initials (first and last) when you submit the request. Your prayer request will be actively prayed over for two weeks before being archived, giving our Prayer Team ample opportunity to pray over your concern multiple times.
