WSUMC will be hosting a Lenten Lunch and Service every Wednesday. The lunch, which includes soup, sandwiches, dessert, and drinks, will be served at 11:45 AM in Threatt Hall, the church’s social hall. The cost of lunch is only $8, and all proceeds will be donated to the WS Soup Cellar. The public is cordially invited to join us!

During the Lenten Service, which will take place from 12:30 to 1:00 PM in Christ Chapel, the WSUMC Players (Drama Ministry) will showcase their talents. Each participant will represent biblical characters who had encounters with Jesus. The characters include:

– February 21 – Pete Liggett – Malchus: Servant

– February 28 – Harvey Jessup – Nicodemus: Leader

– March 6 – Larry Hembree – Pilate: Governor

– March 13 – Jim Tuell – Judas: Disciple

– March 20 – Daniel Hanlin – The Centurion: Soldier
