2019 Youth Retreat — A “Staycation”
November 1-3! While we are not spending the night at the church, we will be spending the days and evenings there for our discipleship program on “The Walking Dead: Stories of Resurrection” and our fellowship time together. Our guest speaker/leader for the weekend is Rev. Carolyn Poling, former Director of Ministries with Young People at Lake Junaluska (and Rev. Taylor’s youth minister!). On Friday evening (5-9 pm), we will have dinner together and our opening discipleship session. Saturday (9 am- 9 pm), we will have 3 discipleship sessions along with a trip to “Escapology” for a murder mystery-themed escape room and a movie night. We close out our time together on Sunday morning with our regular Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45 am) and worship together for All Saints Sunday. The cost for this event is $75 per person, which covers our speaker, our fellowship fun events like the escape room, and food. Dinner will be provided on Friday. Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner will be provided on Saturday. Bagels and other lite breakfast items will be provided on Sunday AM.
