Lent and Easter at Washington Street

Our Wednesday services for Lent will be held beginning February 26, Ash Wednesday, at 12:30 in the Chapel. Lunch will be provided by the United Methodist Women beginning at 11:45 am. Please plan to join us in this series, Praying Through Lent

Join us in worship and fellowship as we prepare our hearts and minds this Lenten season.

Our United Methodist Women will host a $5 soup and sandwich lunch every Wednesday during Lent beginning at 11:45 AM in Threatt Hall. No reservations necessary; come when you are able! All proceeds will go towards our Soup Cellar.

At 12:30 PM, we will gather in Christ Chapel for worship experiences including preaching, reflection, and music.

This year our Lenten sermon series will be the book Let Me Ask You a Question: Conversations with Jesus by Matthew Croasmun. The book provides every reader the opportunity to enter into conversations with Jesus that are critical for the practice of discipleship. Please purchase your book and begin reading before the first Sunday in Lent, March 1.

The Church Office will have some books for sale by February 23. We hope that everyone will participate in this study as individuals, within a Sunday School Class or as part of Alston Lippert’s Small Group Study “Let Me Ask You A Question” Register today!
